The American English Academy from orthopedical Surgeons provides these recommendations to prevent swimming injuries:

* Before jump or dive in the water, warm up with a few stretchings, walk, run, cycling or even a few jump jacks for a couple of minutes.
* To prevent insistent gesture injuries of the shoulder, begin an exercise program designed to tone up shoulder and upper back muscles.
* Take swimming lessons. And never swimming alone.
* Avoid swimming while you are overheated, too cold or just too exhausted.
* Do not swimming strenuously whenever you are ill with a fever, an upper respiratory tract infection or an ear infection.
* Whenever dive, be sure the water is safety and deep enough.
* Carefully clean and dry ears after swim to prevent swimmer’s ear contagion.
